What began as a small family owned and operated business in 1989, has become one of Holmes County, Ohio’s leading manufacturers of dining room furniture. The original product line consisted of tables and hutches. Our founder, Eli Yoder, experienced success immediately. His reputation for quality and competitive pricing caused the business to grow rapidly.
In 2000, Dan Mast realized his dream when he took on ownership of Valley View Oak, now a thriving business. Soon, Valley View Oak began crafting dining room chairs which allowed them to offer the complete dining suite to their customers.
Our customer base grew quickly across the U.S. and Canada, and continued to expand as more stores discovered what we had to offer.
Today, we keep pushing forward to bring our customers new designs, a quick four-week schedule, and a quality product. We are always in search of those stores who share our desire to bring their customers truly fine furniture made here in the United States. We want to help America return to the good ol’ days when family time was treasured, dinners were labored over then set on a finely handcrafted, solid wood table. With our handmade furniture, you will find each piece has a personality. Each distinct mark is not a flaw, but a representation of times when family came first, and Uncle Henry still stuck his cheese knife in the table.

1. We craft solid wood furniture out of the United States. To achieve the enduring quality our furniture is known for, we not only use the most valued wood crafting techniques, but also the finest materials out of the U.S.. Our hardwood is grown in the carefully managed Appalachian mountain ranges known for producing some of the finest hardwoods in the world. We only buy wood from this northeast region of the U.S.A..
2. Completely customizable. Unlike some manufacturers that sell their furniture in bulk from overseas, Valley View Oak, located in a small town in northern Ohio, produces each order individually. This allows the customer to customize their personal order entirely. We have a custom department that is solely dedicated to turning homeowners dreams into reality. They can create exactly what you want from a picture or drawing.
3. Dedication to the local economy. Valley View Oak has been profitable and has grown every year since our conception in 1989. Providing local jobs and a more stable economy for the community has helped to keep us rooted here instead of moving overseas like most of our counterparts.
4. Environmentally friendly Valley View Oak. The forests our hardwoods come from are carefully managed for the enjoyment of nature lovers and future generations. Using selective harvesting allows the trees to naturally renew themselves over time. Also, just buying our durable furniture is kind to the environment! The Special Features of our Furniture
Traditional dovetailing on all four sides of drawers. Drawers built of the same species as the case good.
All hutch backs are screwed on.
A stain channel allows the stain to fully penetrate each piece of wood.
Chairs are reinforced with 3/4" mortice and tenon joints to keep them strong for years.
Panel doors embedded with a spacer ball to absorb vibrations in all humidity levels.
